What is UlTherapy?

As new medical technologies emerge and are approved for use, patients are beginning to move away from invasive procedures, and seek non-invasive and non-surgical alternatives. This is especially true for those seeking to replenish the look of their face and neck.  Surgical procedures for the face and neck can be risky, and may not always provide the desired results.  For patients looking for a better option, there is a new alternative on the market: Ultrasound Therapy.

Ultrasound Therapy has been around since World War II, and has been used for a variety of medical treatments.  Ultrasound beautification treatment is a method of stimulating the tissue beneath the skin’s surface, using high frequency sound waves.  The sounds cannot be heard by humans, but work to break down and stimulate microparticles and biological cells.  This treatment can increase blood flow, stimulate collagen, and speed up the healing process of the affected tissue.  Studies have shown that the time-tested therapy also helps in enhancing the metabolic activities of cells.

A breakthrough system of Ultra Sound has been developed called UlTherapy.  UlTherapy is a proprietary procedure, and is the only non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound therapy to lift/tighten loose skin on the neck, chin, and face.  The FDA-cleared technology uses the safe energy of ultrasound to stimulate the support layers of the skin, without disturbing the surface.  The benefits for those seeking a face lift or neck lift are natural, and results are noticeable within only a few months*.

The process of using UlTherapy for treatment of the neck and face works by using high-frequency sound waves to bypass the surface of the skin, and specifically targets the deep, underlying skin tissues where collagen resides.  The energy from the ultrasound is directed at just the affected areas, and at just the right depth, in order to access the same underlying area of tissue that would be addressed during a surgical face (or neck) lift.  Your body responds to the focused energy by reconditioning the skin through the generation of fresh, new collagen.  The result is a smoothing, tightening, and gradual lifting of the skin into a more youthful appearance, and form-fitted shape*.

While UlTherapy is not designed to replicate surgical procedures, it is the perfect choice for those who do not want the stress and expense of an invasive Face Lift.  The procedure typically takes around 60-90 minutes to complete, depending on the area to be treated and the amount of treatment required*.  It is an outpatient procedure, and the patient can usually resume normal activities immediately after the process.  Directly following the procedure, your skin may appear slightly flushed, but this should subside and disappear within a few hours.  There are a few other issues that may occur, such as tenderness or tingling, but these are mild and temporary.

The beneficial results of the procedure will begin to unfold over the course of 2 to 3 months, and will continue as the natural healing process of your skin begins the rejuvenation process.  Many patients report improvement for up to 6 months, including a tightening and lifting of the skin and neck*.  For those resisting the invasive nature, and expense, of a surgical procedure, UlTherapy can offer tremendous and surprising results, with little interruption to your life.
