Get Bathing Suit Body Ready with Coolsculpting!

If you are interested in obtaining more information, please give our office a call at (215) 366-1122.

With the warmer months having already arrived and summer rapidly approaching, I’m sure you’ve begun to think about bathing suit season — and wondering how to prepare. Because sometimes, for as consistently and intensely we exercise, and remain steadfast in being mindful of establishing healthy eating habits for ourselves, a bit of stubborn fat remains — and it’s not something you want to show off while sporting a bathing suit on the beach. If you have been searching for a solution to rid yourself of these annoying fat remnants, Coolsculpting could be the solution you’ve been waiting for*. Coolsculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical fat reduction procedure. Dr. Evan Zelinger performs all of our Coolsculpting procedures at our facility, Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center — we have no technicians.

If you are looking for a treatment that is effective for significantly large amounts of fat, or obesity, Coolsculpting is not the treatment for you. As previously stated, it is a treatment that is localized to specific areas, and treats isolated, small amounts of fat at a time*. The Coolsculpting procedure is effective, because it chills/freezes the fat cells. These frozen & chilled fat cells will shrink over the course of time, and, eventually, the body will absorb them*.

Now, you know how the Coolsculpting process works, but I’m sure you’re wondering what it is like to experience the treatment itself. If you choose Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center, Dr. Evan Zelinger will handle you with the utmost personable care, and attention. Aesthetic medicine is his artistry. Arguably, the most attractive aspect of the area of medicine Dr. Evan Zelinger practices is the fact that it is all non-invasive/non-surgical. Coolsculpting has a number of upsides that you will not find when pursuing surgical liposuction. For one, surgical liposuction is painful. Coolsculpting is not.

During the procedure, Dr. Evan Zelinger will use a contouring device to freeze/chill the fat cells in the desired area(s). You may feel a large amount of suction, but no discomfort while the process is taking place (aside from, as expected, feeling a bit cold). At Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center, we have an entirely different room dedicated to Coolsculpting, equipped with a television to entertain you if you prefer — the process does take some time. Depending on how many cycles you desire/require, it can be anywhere from an hour to several hours. Dr. Evan Zelinger will attach the contouring device, and leave you to the privacy of your own room while the Coolsculpting process takes place.

While you will not experience pain during the procedure, there may be some mild discomfort, numbness, and bruising after the procedure — however, it is all very mild, and significantly less than what you would experience during the recovery process of surgical liposuction.

It is important to take note that results from Coolsculpting are not instantaneous*. The speediness of the fat reduction effects from Coolsculpting depends upon your immune system, and varies from person to person*. It can take anywhere from one to three months for an immune system to begin the process of absorbing the fat cells that were frozen during the procedure*. This is key in preparing for those sunny summer months, because it’s important to start the Coolsculpting process as soon as possible. After having an initial Coolsculpting treatment, you can have a secondary treatment in as little as a month — if you deem it necessary, that is*.

June is on its way. Book your free Coolsculpting consult with Dr. Evan Zelinger at Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center today!
