Abington’s Arsenal of Lasers for all types of Skincare

The skincare industry has been transformed by the innovation and availability of lasers for a variety of cosmetic and clinical purposes. At Abington Aesthetics, we have an entire arsenal of lasers always at the ready to combat your skincare woes, from acne scars and excess facial hair to tattoo removal. The following features five of our lasers and how each one can help enhance your appearance.

Fraxel

The first fractional laser treatment available on the market, Fraxel is FDA-approved and considered very safe in the hands of certified professionals. Fraxel creates a “micro-injury” on the surface of the skin, making it possible for heat to penetrate deep within the skin in order to stimulate the natural creation of collagen, rejuvenating the skin from the outside in. Ultimately, this enhances a patient’s youthful appearance, leaving skin looking smoother, often after a single treatment*.

Fractional Resurfacing (Pixel 2940)

Cutting-edge, the Pixel 2940 is the most current laser technology used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, blemishes, and acne scars*, whether on the face, neck, arms, hands, or chest. Dependent upon each individual, most patients notice rapid results with minimal downtime*.

Laser Hair Removal

For women who feel they spend too much time taming unwanted body hair, non-invasive, FDA-certified laser hair removal might be the time-saving answer they’ve long waited for, which delivers long-lasting results*.

These results will vary from patient-to-patient; laser hair removal proves less effective on certain hair colors. Laser hair removal treatments are best done over the course of 5-6 sessions, with the second treatment suggested between 4-8 weeks after your first. As with all procedures, we suggest calling for a consultation for Dr. Zelinger to help you make the best decision for your skin and hair type.

Laser Tattoo Removal

No matter why you might want to remove your tattoo or tattoos, laser tattoo removal treatment effectively breaks up the ink’s pigment via a high-intensity beam of light. Depending on the colors used in the original tattoo, certain laser wavelengths are wielded to work on the pigment, jump starting the immune system to rid the skin of ink, resulting in a faded tattoo after a few weeks*.

Cynosure Apogee Elite and Alexandrite Laser System

Designed to treat all skin types, this laser system is ideal to help erase facial veins, sunspots, and redness. Patients report little to zero discomfort during the one to three treatments it takes for best results*.
